Personal Information :
Professor Westney earned her MBA from the Rawls College of Business at
Texas Tech University, and the Master of Music from Yale University. Following a career in music as a performer and teacher, she embarked
on a career in business. Her industry experience includes serving as the Director of the Rawls College’s Center for Professional Development,
and as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch. For four years she worked first as Project Director, then as Managing Director of the
International Foundation for Retirement Education, a nonprofit entity that provides certification programs for retirement professionals.
She is currently an Instructor for the MBA Executive Skills core course. She has also taught undergraduate courses in Strategic Management,
Business and Society, Principles of Management, and Personnel Administration.
