Bill Wan is an associate professor of management and holds the Trinity Company Professorship in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, majoring in startegic management. Prior to joining Texas Tech University, he was an associate professor at Thunderbird Global School of Management. His research focuses on corporate and international strategy, international corporate governance, international business, strategy in emerging economies, and international entrepreneurship. He has teaching experiences in strategic management and international business at Texas A&M University and University of Oklahoma, and in competitive strategy and global startegy at Thunderbird School of Global Management. His research articles appear in a number of top academic journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management International Review, Strategic Management Journal, and Accounting, Organizations & Society. His dissertation was one of the four finalists in the Academy of International Business Best Dissertation Competition. He is currently on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of World Business, and Management and Organizational Review. He has also received outstanding reviewer awards from Academy of Management Journal. He has industry experiences working in Hong Kong and California primarily in real estate and international business.
