The Area of Management, Rawls College of Business Administration, offers classes designed to develop students' communication, entrepreneurial, team building, leadership, strategic and interpersonal skills. Through cutting-edge research, we generate new knowledge about effective management practices in organizations, which prepares our students to compete in the global economy.
Management students learn the principles of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling business organizations. Course offerings are designed to enhance knowledge and skills pertaining to entrepreneurship, managerial communication, human resource management, leadership, international management, strategic management, negotiation, change and innovative processes, and executive skills. Students develop distinctive competencies that enable them to effectively manage, lead, and compete in the global marketplace while modeling high standards of ethical conduct and social responsibility.

Our faculty receives many teaching honors and awards from the College, Texas Tech University, other universities, and numerous professional organizations.
